You're going to have a lot of members reply to this including me. Remapping your ECU will give you ~380hp/380ftlb. BUT, the 550 is relatively new so I don't think there is anyone offering it yet.

Dinan will be coming out with the throttle body, cold air intake, high flor air mass meter and exhaust for the 550. They have it out for the 545i already. They should probably have the Dinan chip later.

Wow! Then we will be looking at a ~400 hp and tq 550i. It should give the M5 in P400 mode a run.

I think you are referring to a magazine article from Japan. I remember reading it here somewhere, but I won't be able to find it either.

Read somewhere that 545 can beat a M5 in P400 at least from 0-60. Please don't make me look for it. I know someone else here has seen the same thing. I'm sure someone's going to call BS, I'm just repeating what I read that is all. I do know Grogan545 was timed in 4.9 and Znod 5.0.

My Ride: (USA) 645Ci, Silver Gray, Chateau, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, Sport PKG, Step, NAV [Std Equip in 645], HUD, Satellite (SIRIUS) Radio, Aux Input, Bluetooth enabled using iPhone 3GS w/ adapter cradle - Build date - 01/05, Baby delivered 2/24/05
I'll repeat some of my older research here on V8 chip tuning. It lists web sites and I know several of tehm already have 4.8l (x50) products available. You are looking at similar gains over the 360HP so roughly in the 380/380 arena and possibly a little more.
