Do they have it in the US?Is there any bad side of getting the engine remap?does it affect the gas milege?

Yes, please read entire thread carefully. Posts #13, and #16 thru #20 discuss the availability in US. Use the MFRS web sites - DMS, Upsolute, Wetterauer, H&S, etc for your own research. Most claim increase gas mileage for same driving technique. It will take some time yet for the 4.8L engine chip tuning to hit the streets but you can be sure they are working furiously on it.

I went to the upsolute site and they said that a chip tuning would only cost 350 bucks.Thats pretty cheap considering some people pay more.Is this right?Or am i missing sumthing?

Your right (I was actually quoted $400 plus $25 install fee for 4.4L engine). I posed the same question on another thread as four other vendors are ~ $1000. Makes me nervous. Upsolute also has many more locations than the others, but I found out my nearest is working out of his house. So I could only guess low "overhead"

Sorry to jump in here guys. As some of you probably have read in the other thread "Upsolute Chiptuning", I did confirm that it was $350 + $25 labor. The $400 price is for Mercedes and Volvos.

My contact also did say that they "...use a distribution network that doesn't rely on large dealers with overhead. I, as many other Upsolute distributors, work out of my home for the chip tuning so our overhead is low."
