I have the same fault from time to time and my car is stock I just think it is a glitch as like you I can shut the car down and all is good. It may have something to do with the traction control, mine also says to be careful in curves.

I think if it were a real issue it would not reset itself and a trip to the dealer would be in order

Problem solved...my mech contacted ESS Tuning and got a software downloaded to let the EGS take the extra torque.

Pics of the supercharger soon...will make a new thread.
