2007 550i Performance Exhuast Question

My Ride: 2007 E60 550i Black/Sand. Dinan free flow intake, throttle body, carbon fiber strut brace, and exhaust. Carbon fiber engine cover. Blend mount for a Belltronics RD w/mirror tap. Smoke LED taillights. Projector fog-lites w/HID kit.
thanks for the insight and compliment, much appreciated. i was hoping the throttle body would just simply be an off and back on in reverse type of thing. think ill give it a shot and see what happens. glad the rpi sxoops will work, i was hoping so, trinity it is, no shame. final question: when you say "stage II" are you talking about a CPU Flash chip? I was under the impression that a 550i chip makes the xnsmsn shift more sporty and less luxury, removes the rev limiter and top speed governer, and clicks the idle up a couple hundred RPM's. Is that correct or am i missing a benefit or two? Ihadn't considered it because i didnt see it really making much of a difference, like i said, unless im missing something, which i might add, wouldnt be a first, lol. any further insight would be great, thanks for the feedback
The flash does delete your top speed limit and raises you rev limiter by 100 rpm, but it also programs your computer to respond properly to the changes. I have no experience with a 550 with all of the changes you did, but I have been in a 545 and didn't notice to much of a difference until I really got on it. The ECU is set to how it comes off of the factory floor, not to all of the additions. I also belive it helps with that ridiculous lag when you press on the pedal. I recommend going to your local Dinan dealer and talk to them, I bother the hell out of my dealer everytime I'm there.

well, i got all my stuff online direct from dinan, no dealer to check with. i did however cruize on down to my local indy, who i'm really good friends with seeing as how ive had an E38 for awhile now that i use for work so it needs to be in top order. needless to say, we have a great business and personal relationship. he comp'd my install and got me $20 for a flash he wrote himself, saix it was similar to the custom write he did for my 750 after an engine rebuild, exhaust, twin cold air setup etc. difference yes, worth more than $100, not really, that, and because he's cool, is the only reason he binged me $20. nothing like the monster he turned my work car into compared to what it was off the line. out of the box the 550 is pretty hot, especially for being my "every-day". thanks for all the help
