y'all are still on this? OP, 1. you cannot find a working M5 engine for 1,200... IF - IF!!! - you do, I suggest you flip it, and use the money when you trade in your car for a real M5. 2. Xi will not be able to take the torque coming from the V10 - EVEN if you do manage to somehow fit the engine. This brings me to my third point. 3. The engine will not fit - there is not enough space with the AWD hardware. And of course, say you're really rich and really stubborn and you overcome all that I've mentioned above. You're still stuck with a car and an engine - now you need to make the two work together, which takes more than a smile, pal. You're looking at a project that would take a year to finish if you have actual BMW engineers working on it. And even they would tell you: JUST BUY AN M5!!!

But hey, if you DO manage to complete this project against all odds, it would - OF COURSE! - be extremely awesome... all I'm saying is, it's not humanly possible - you may be above that. Some people have proven to be at times - like that kid that painted his E34 matte black in a one bedroom Brooklyn apartment one body panel at a time.
