I just got this very same model installed on my 545i this past weekend and it SOUNDS AMAZING!! It's nice deep growl and it's very moderately priced. I just got single side exhaust upgrade so if you get the quad exhaust I can't even imagine how loud that will be considering mine is already so loud. It sounds exactly like a Z71 with FlowMasters on it... that's how best I can put it!! Also, my top end acceleration has really improved too b/c of it. If you think your car jumps fast from 60 - 110mph now wait till you get this. Of course I also have an AFE CAI but still, MagnaFlow is definitely the way to go!!!
Do you get a rumble at around 2000 - 2500 RPM's? My B&B has a vibration/rumble that is pretty overwhelming at about that point in the rev range.

Guys - thanks for the advice. So does the muffler sit flush with the OEM trunk or does it stick out? What I'd like to do is retain the OEM look as much as possible. Curved tips are not the look I am going for! Also - looking for an exhust shop in Ann Arbor MI that I can trust if anyone knows one! I saw the muffler on Amazon for a decent price too!!!

Does the process require cutting/welding stuff out or is it a plug and play type of deal? Can it be reversed if the rumble is too loud? Does it void warranty??

Subarashi, how far in/out the muffler sticks out from the bumper is up to you. When you get it installed, make sure you're there watching them in the process to make sure it's exactly to your liking. As far as Magnaflow exhaust tips goes, both tips are the same length, they're not staggered like the OEM 545i/550i tips.

Yeah, the growl really kicks in arond 2000 rpm... 2000-4500rpm is where I get the deep low growl and above 4500 it sounds like a race car.... I love this exhaust b/c it's quiet if you need to drive smoothly but if you want to get aggressive and take the rpm's high then the sound really lets you know you are about to embarrass some fools on the road!

oh yeah, they have to bend pipes and custom fit everything to the car... this is where you tell them how far out you want the pipes extend. Normally though, they usually keep it even with the bumper b/c if they stick out too far then someone could get seriously burned by the pipes if you just finished driving.
