Hi Folks,
Can anyone help on xenon info?
Ok i have got xenons on low beam thats factory fitted. I am trying to fit new xenon upgrade bulbs. Now everyone including bmw are telling me that if they have xenons on low beam they will also have them on high.
I am 100% sure that the high beams are h7 and not xenons. Its an 05 535d.

Any experts?

Thanks

My understanding is that you have 1x Bi xenon and 1 x H7 high for flashing etc

My understanding is that what everyone is telling you is correct.

I think with Bi-xenon when on low beam a cover comes down and shrouds part of the Xenon beam to avoid dazzling and then retracts for main beam.

Thats what happens with mine, but then again mine are adaptive lights, so I don't know if that changes things....Feel free to shoot me down

I also have adaptives, and what you say is correct, the flash (stalk towards you) is H7 halogen only, main beam (stalk away from you) opens the shutter and also turns on the H7.

If you do this at night you'll see the difference between a flash and full beam

I think putting xenons on a non xenon equipped car is bad news, it dazzles other people and its also against the law.

The inner lamps are H7:s and the outer Xenons.

In the pre LCI version the inner H7 works as high "beam assists".

In the LCI (as in the pre LCI) the bi-Xenon function is made by a
shield that goes up and down, but there's only one bulp.
The LCI don't have any inner H7's, only Angel Eyes.
