Rim repair guy called me back a few minutes ago. I found out he does repair for the BMW dealerships and VW dealerships, alot of BBS which is reassuring. I scheduled an appointment for next Thursday. I was expecting $125-$150 per wheel. He quoted me $80-$90 per wheel...THAT'S NOTHIN!!
Can't wait to get this over with and start the quest for summer wheels, 19"s...166's...172's...BBS RGR's...spinners maybe???

I put a call in to the dealership and got pricing on replacement rims. I also put in a call to a local reputable guy who does rim repair, haven't heard back from him so no resolution as of yet.
I know, I know, hindsight 20/20 I probably should have just brought it to the dealer for the tire swap but:
A) I have had tires replaced on my Rover at the same shop with no issues. I know, not the same, stop yelling at me.
I asked the manager before hand if they had done BMW's with runflats before, he answered with a confident "yes".
C) I actually mentioned that people said I should go to the dealership to get this done and said I was a bit worried. He assured me they wouldn't have any trouble.
D) ANSWERS B and C FALSE
They didn't have any trouble, instead they had a lot of trouble. I think the rims will be fine once repaired but I am miffed that my once virgin rims have been defiled. Just knowing that some one else was intimate with my delicate rims vexes me. I should be the one wrecking the rims with haphazard alloy to concrete curb contact in some fast food restaurant drive through not some tire jockey with a greasy mullet. Damn it, I may go curb one right now just to get it over with.
Honey!!! Do you think KFC is still open?!?!?!?

I visited a local repair shop and they told me that these wheels have to be sandblasted, re-powder coated and baked because the brake dust will eat right through any spot repair. Said that spot repairs do't last long at all. Maybe I should revisit a wheel repair because it seems others here have had good results.
