My son is 18 and thinks my new e60 is awesom except for the wipers is there a after market wiper set that looks cool

ask him what cool wipers actually look like? I hope he doesn't mean the ones some youngsters in the UK use...well they have little neon lights fitted to the washer jets on the bonnet....urrrrgggghhh...if that's what he wants on your E60...send him to his room...for a year.

or those plastic colored ones . btw, i always like the single wiper style used in the little older mercedes.

Yeah, my dads got the older c-class and its got the single wiper, it is supposed to cover more than most cars that have 2, really good, apart from when the wiper gearbox broke it cost over ?300 i think. Is it true that the UK cars have the wipers going the wrong way, as they didn't want to change them for right hand drive cars?

Yep, they are the wrong way, but they are on the e39 too, so it's not a new cost-cutting measure.
