Dear All,

I have just had my car back from an Indy after having all the software updated in an attempt to fix the ELV Steering lock error.

The car is a 55 Plate 530 D M Sport and when I got back in the car I noticed both Wing Mirrors had a yellow band across the top and a blue band across the bottom. I pointed this out to the Indy who couldn't understand what had happened. My thoughts were a cleaning solution used in the vallet had damaged the mirror but I now don't believe that's the case.

They have offered to replace the glass in the mirrors but I'm wondering whether anyone knows what this fault may be or the cause and if it actually requires a whole mirror replacement.

you have auto dimming mirror glass. it is quite expensive to replace. it look like it is faulty when these mirrors change color like your it only indicates they are faulty check actually if it is still working . when ignition on cover light sensor on windscreen rear view mirror see if all mirrors darkens
