Whenever i drive on the highway i get quite a bit of wind noise from the bottom middle area of my windshield ...
i've read here where you can replace the seal pretty easily -- but based on the description -- it sounds like the seal is only for protection and that the windshield is separately sealed on its own
does anyone know if replacing the rubber trim would get rid of this noise? or it is a separate issue with the windshield itself?

The trim itself is very easy to replace. Before I replaced mine (it was pretty weather beaten) I definitley had more wind noise. With the new seal, the air flow over the top of the windshild is much quiter.
However, you mentioned that your wind sound comes from the bottom of the windshield, I am not aware of a rubber gasket that is replaceable down there as I think the windshield bottom flows right under the hood into the engine bay. I'll take another look later, but I don't think there is a a separate gasket for the bottom.

no seal at the bottom of the windshield. Only thing there is is the epoxy that is laid down before the windshield goes in, then the cowl trim piece on top. Has the windshield been replaced?
