Only wind in my car is after a really good meal & red wine.

I think there is definately more wind and road noise with the E60 than the E39. I also notice more exterior noise in the cabin, with windows up, when parked with the engine off than in my old E39.

Funny thing is I only noticed this morning, when I muted the stereo to listen the car. I had the feeling the there's a lateral window open and I checked. To my suprize the culprit was the sunroof with the sunshade open.

I had the same problem, dealer changed the seals on the sunroof and car has been quiet ever since.

me...i wish i had the windows shade. I did not order them. Can that be retrofit?

There are many things i take from granted...
1) the noise coming out of my r/f
2) the wind noise

-- i tell my friends..hey the dealer was kind enough and gave me the extra noise for free.

I think I'm going to get them to change my sunroof seal. It shouldn't be that noisy with the sunshade open.

Some of us may be expecting too much. I don't think there is any such thing as a noise-free cabin in a car--at least I've never not heard one. If one thinks his or her car is too noisey, then test drive the other competing brands under similar circumstances to see what's up. If one suits your fancy better, then jump ship. You could also use auto mag decible ratings to decide on your next car.
