why not remove the CCC unit and refit it with a drop of silicone (fine bead) around the edges, it only takes a few mins to pop the ccc out and all the trim, that should fix any tight tollerance issues. give it a sort of cusion if its a tight fit?

I have 18s with non-RFT and 19s with RFT and can't really tell a difference.

Funny you should suggest this...I was gonna post a question about how to remove all those black plastic pieces surrounding the AC knods & buttons. I assume this is what you are calling the "CCC"? How do those pieces come off? Is there a DIY removal instructions somewhere?

I have exactly the same complaint. EVERY time I hit a bump I hear rattles coming from the back (mostly). It could be anything - shelf, seats, armrest, windows.. I don't know yet. BUT i'm sure RFT tires are the ones responsible for those things to get loose..
I'm going to switch mine RFT's too (hopefully next week). I'll let you know what happens after

Get a nice set of non-RF 19" Allen, or at least new 18" non-RF tires.
I simply don't understand why BMW is so stubborn with those RF tires.
Even the 17" RF tires makes the car running as on steel tires all the time.
I.e. a new Mercedes can be ordered with RF's, if somebody wants,
but no, BMW insists.![Mad](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Someone in BMW must have made an bad deal with the tire manufactures.
OK, the idea is good, but not the outcome.
