My Ride: 2015 535D M Sport
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Some people (car mags. Motortrend? Car & Driver? reviewing 2004 models) claim that the e60 sport suspension is actaully softer than the non-sport. The reason is that it does not need to be stiff since ARS (Active Roll Stabilization) performs the anti-roll task that used to be handled by stiffer springs. My 545 has sport and I think it rides quite well. I have never driven a non-sport version, so I cannot compare.

Never listen to a woman about cars. ![Whistling](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/whistling.gif)
Besides.... the stiff ride comes from runflats, not the suspension. If you get sport, and add Michelin non-RFT tires you will ride smoother than a non-sport pack with RFT.

My Ride: 2008 Sapphire Black on Black M5 - loaded sans soft close doors

As pointed out, you can't compare the 3-series sport ride to the 5. Also as pointed out, the 5 withOUT runflats rides significantly different than with.
My wife has never complained about the ride of my 550 sport - which should be the same as the 535 sport. Find an 07 550 sport to test drive for comparison and I'll bet she will let you get the sport package.

"Man or Mouse"
I love this! Thanks for waking up the manhood in me.
All jokes aside, yesteday I swapped my non-sport e60 with a friends sport e60 for a day or two.
And all of you are 100% correct. I love the sport e60. It's a whole different car. And my wife couldn't tell the difference. BTW, sometimes I think that my Bimmers idrive has more brains than she does.
Once again thank you all very much

So now that you have the green light for the sports pack, I think its time to talk about 19s or 20s...
