You need to inform the car manufacturers and hundreds of safety specialists around the world that are deluded into thinking seatbelts are helpful.
Its all a matter of preference some people fasten seat belts some dont, to argue whats safer is pointless I speak from my personal experience I have been in accidents that could of possibly taken my life is I was fastened! It a roll of dice what life is.

I have always been perplexed at the mediocre safety ratings on the 5er - especailly the Government testers giving only 3 of 5 stars for front end. Why is the BMW persistently "mediocre" in crash testing? Every year I anticipate it will show among the top in crash test scores...

Hopco, I'm glad your wife survived the crash. I wish you (two) all the best, including having a new car!

I crashed way too many cars by different manufacturers I can tell you that BMW, Mercedes-Benz & Toyota's are my top cars for this matter as you are quite safe in them even when speeding.

I saw this video, what car is he driving? Its all about luck though sometimes a belt will help sometimes it will make it worse.

16Km in 16min http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHnC5AJPpVg in my city Moscow doing 200-240+Km/h the car is a Merc CL5
So you keep saying you've crashed too many cars already, you don't use seatbelts and you drive +200km/h in Moscow city...Huh !!!
I think you have a serious attitude problem concerning public traffic. This kind of speech always pisses me off and I truly hope I never have to get on the same road with you or someone like you!

I dont drive 200+ in Moscow that video is not me! Im responsible I dont speed in Moscow, although I dont fasten seat belts.

Frankly speaking I dont speed anymore you know enough is enough Im not trying to set a record any longer its time to grow up. I have no place to hurry any where I have made it already you know what I mean.

Its alright mate, maybe I have proposed my self in the wrong way in the beginning

The seat belts I dont know really I just refuse to wear them, just today I made a plastic copy of the metal seat belts and placed them in the place where the seat belts should go in. To stop that annoying warning sound to fasten seat belts

Wow. That's amazing! VERY glad she's okay!

You're so right...driving a BMW probably did save her life, or at a minimum, something much worse.

It's one test on one day with one test setup. To be statistically significant you have crash at least 10 vehicles. The real world statistics like the account and photos of the OP's weigh much more with me than a one time laboratory test.
