Why are there no SMG cars in the UK?

My Ride: 535d Sport in Carbon Black / high gloss shadow line and beige leather / dark poplar with professional nav, bluetooth phone prep, CD changer, bi-xenon adaptive headlamps, servotronic steering, folding mirrors, heated comfort seats, TV, extended voice control and Logic 7 hifi.
There is currently a torque limit on the Audi DSG, which is why it's not seen on the bigger diesel engined cars (and why transplanting it into a BMW diesel wouldn't be a good idea!). This is currently a major restriction for those wanting to tune DSG equiped TTs. (Did I mention I'm Vice Chairman of the TT Owners Club? ).

The problem is that SMG is manual with paddles so there is a time delay when it changes gear. It has to release the gear, press the clutch and then shift to another gear. This is "supose" to be abit jerky aswell.
