Why so stupid rain sensor..?

ON ORDER
On the 2005 E60 you have a switch that turns the rain sensor on or off.In the manual it tells you to make sure you turn it off before you enter a car wash or it could damage the rain sensor

You can still use the wipers manually, you don't have to use the sensor if you don't like it.

I like how this feature is set up. It prevents my wiper blades from being destroyed.
Especially during winter time I use the wipers and the rain sensor to keep snow off the window, as it melts due to the heat from the interior. Now, when I park the car, I never turn off the sensor. Had the sensor still been on when I startet the car again, I would definitely have a need for new wiper blades, as they would most likely have been frozen to the windshield, and then torn apart as they forcefully were set in motion by the sensor. Good thing it doesn't stay on forever.

When you go in a carways just set them off.Sorry but i don't see the good thing of that then you just can set them up manually.When its start to rain they must wish automatic not first set up sensor.Also sensor sucks cause its wish to slow even in the highest positions.

Sorry you dont like it... its really hard to please several million people with EVERY SINGLE function... they try their best to please as much as possible.
Maybe you're just use to another way of doing it comming from another car. I'm sure you have some other annoyances with other cars...
