I need to reset my v2 on my 535i.. Where is the freaking battery? Someone said in the trunk, if it is .. Where? Thanks so much
And your battery is located on the right side in the trunk behind the cover panel ( Unscrew the 3 black plastic screws and pull the cover panel towards the center of the trunk and you will see the battery)

You have a Positive Terminal under your hood on the right side when you are facing the engine if I'm not mistaken ( it's covered with a Black square plastic cap with a + sign )

The valet key won't open the trunk but the regular key will. The regular key is inside the electronic key fob. Just squeeze the two little grips on the back of the fob and pull out the metal key...

Sorry, my bad, I wasn't thinking straight -- I didn't realize when you first said valet key you were talking about the key I was talking about (I'm getting my two cars confused -- it's been a long day!)
The button that you usually push to open the trunk won't do anything if your battery is dead. If you turn the key all the way to the left, does it open?
I can't really test anything with my car because my battery isn't dead so the results would be different. If turning the key to the left doesn't open it, is there any way you can hook up jumper cables or a battery charger to the terminals under the hood? If you do that, you should give the car enough power to open the trunk electronically...
