My Assist is not functioning also.

 

i had s/w updated yesterday, version 13.2, and rds is a added bonus for me . not there before. but when i go to "communication", i couldn't play around with it anymore . i don't have phone nor nav but i could play around with it before but now is gray and i couldn't click on any function . i haven't tried the sos button. hope it works .

 

Before this post, I didn't know what RDS was. I now realize that RDS did work at one point, but after a software update, I guess it hasn't worked since. But that was some 5-6 months ago, so with just figuring out it didn't work today, you can say I didn't miss it all that much.

 

Jimbo that is probably what put my car in the software spin. I mentioned to my SA that the BMW Assist could not be accessed through iDrive anymore. Next thing I knew I was wo my baby. Getting antsy about it now - sitting up there all alone under an open canopy gathering dust. Baby never experinced such treatment before.

 

My Assist has rarely worked-- very on and off, even when there was full signal strength. When you push button, or select via I-drive, it says transmission failed. After the last 2 software updates, now the boxes are greyed out and can't be selected at all.
