I always get over 400 mi/tank combination city/highway. On a recent 2000 mile trip loaded with three adults and luggage, mostly highway with some city mixed in, I averaged 27.2 (calculated).

I get about 300 miles city. I live 6 miles away from work like another individual here. I just have a heavy foot. I do though take it easy on trips, averaging 450. I don't think that is bad for a V8.

Actually, we're getting a "winter blend" right now which gives slightly worse mileage. I've had the car since the end of August and have never been below 21+ mpg (all city driving). although that's normally the computer reading and not calculated. I don't really care from a dollars & cents standpoint, but it's sometimes kinda fun to see how good or bad I can make it by changing my driving style.

I get in the 260 - 300 mile range depending on the amount of highway driving I do. My in city average is about 17.7 mpg and on the highway it's around 22 mpg.
This is a little better than my M5 was!
Cheers,
