I keep a spreadsheet for the purpose of calculating gas mileage.
I get just over 400 miles between fillups - and there's usually plenty left - I generally only add between 16 and 16.5 gallons to reach a full tank. I fill up when the warning light goes off.
This is my normal driving cycle and equates to ~25mpg.
I only use Shell 93 octane.

We last Dec made with two tanks Bp-Bxl.(1500kms).
not piezzo 3 liter diesel, quite ok.
Of course when we go undefined in Germany it is a bit less.
In the city there is time 0-5km/h and max 45, lot of hill climbing
-then sometimes I use manual of the Stept. than keep in 5th 6th gear it is ok. But here traffic is a mess.

I've gone as far as 360 miles on a tank but that was down to the last drop and the "miles left" indicator had been on "0" for 2 miles! My Commute is 68 miles each way to one of our offices and 42 miles (in the opposite direction) to our other office...putting anywhere from 420-680 miles on a week! ...and loving every one of them.
Usually cruising at 80mph
or stop and go
I do wish though BMW would make the tank 2-3 gallons bigger, I would like to at least be able to drive 420 miles on one tank. Need to figure how to squeeze more MPG out of it. Haven't seen a big improvement with Znods trick of quick accellating to make up the difference!!!!
