what year/month did the new idrive come out

thinking of upgrading my e60, but deffo DEFFO want that new idrive

what month/year would i need to get an car after to make sure it has it?

after march 2009 for uk cars i think, some very late 2008`s have the new controller but with the old idrive CCC

The new F10 [the E60s successor] is less than a year away. The 5-series GT comes out in Oct 2009.
I would rather wait for that than get the current E60 with the new iDrive [residuals will plunge further when the F10 is launched]
But just my opinion

So far from the looks of the new GT and the F10 cars, I say no thanks..

yeah think ill stay with current e60

want a m5 though, 2009 one be fucccccking expensive lol

will wait for this new model and hopefully 2009 m5s will drop in price hehe

My October 2008 525d has the new controller but the old iDrive software. I've not heard of any vehicles earlier than this with the new controller.

in the USA it was model year 10's with Nav only, non Nav still soldiers on with the older version, MY 09 got the new controllers....

As I said this was in the US , no clue on England.
