I have/had a faulty MULF2 hi (completely corroded over but I just ordered a replacement one from eBay) and my BT and AUX don’t work (SOS malfunction light as well) but my radio (FM/AM/W still works fine… people have told me that is because I might have the ‘base’ stereo because the speakers are connected directly to the head unit… but my car has the A-pillar tweeters which are a sign of the 8-speaker ‘Hi-Fi’ system (no rear door speakers)… I haven’t check in the boot yet for an amplifier, but right now I’m just a little confused… if anyone can lend some insight It’d be greatly appreciated
I was under the assumption that if my MULF2 is down, and I have an amplifier attached to the MOST system, my radio shouldn’t be playing at all or at the most, it should be playing intermittently because the AMP wouldn’t be seeing a signal… hence the reason I’ve been told I have the base system… but the base system forgoes the A-pillar tweeters (or so I thought)
thx

‘Base’ sound system The sound system I think I have, but the amp still works with SOS/Bad MULF2???
thanks… I figured it out in the meantime… my system is the USA HiFi system… the six main speakers play off the head unit, and a peanut-sized amp in the boot ‘powers’ the subwoofers…and the MOST system completely bypasses the stereo system… that’s why it still plays when the MULF2 is disconnected
