Yeah, but we are talking about a TT here. Can't I weigh in and say its got something. Course I really do not know if the TT engine will last as long as the 4.8 v8?

What does it take to kill a thread these days? This thing keeps coming back like a zombie.
Well some threads are like the undead and never die. See the Envy thread.

Just looked at a test data sheet from car and driver. A 2009 535i does .89g on the skid pad. They show the 2008 550i at .89g on the skid pad as well (sorry, couldn't find data on the same model year cars). So, the data would suggest they both handle equally well.

If you take a look at their comments on the 550 you will see the data doesn't necessarily match how it felt to them.

A Civic beats the 535, 550, and M5. Hands down.
Then a Smart car will own anything on the road. Speaking of owning, watch this Peugeot own a BMW. just goes to show you that the good guy can beat the bad guy/girl in any car. Peugeot might get my business if they offer regular tires instead of RFTs.

Now, I don't know about the 535 vs 550, but this video clearly demonstrates the vastly superior handling of a 535i over the Skoda 120L

But which car would handle better if a Republican, atheist, lesbian (who wants to get married and had been artificially inseminted) was giving birth in the back seat? Obviously something should be done with the umbilical cord blood, but her parents are both illegal immigrants. 535 or 550?
Cook and eat the placenta would be my guess, in an m5 of course

Unhappy

I only read the first couple of pages....but everyone is just comparing numbers....it doesn't matter who is faster, lighter or blah blah blah.....I really comes down to the DRIVER!!! We cannot replicate driving skills, therefore the results will ALWAYS vary.....regardless how long this thread gets

Well, you are not wrong about the driverss involvement but that's not the point/topic in this thread. We are comparing the cars with full 100% potential and not really considering the drivers input.

That's a fantastic idea! You should start a thread! Novelty is a virtue.

This is a good one :-)
