2006 530xi w/ 26000mls silver on gray with Premium, premium sound, cold weather, navigation, Steptronic, Sport package, Park distance control, BMW assist & Bluetooth, Xenon.

This is a CPO car and they are asking $31500.

Any thoughts on this?
Considering the highlights above, its seems like a very fair deal.

Sounds good to me ... especially I just found out 07 530i with 37k miles with just preminum and cold weather was running around that price . Engines are the same on 06-07 models... and CPO will give more warrenty so basically its good deal.

except i wish it wasnt XI.. XI is heavier, slower.. by the way where is the car located anyway..

When I was looking for 550i's this Summer, there were PLENTY of '08's on Autotrader with around 11-12K miles being offered for low $40K....lots of them. I almost bought one from Georgia....stickered for over $69K with 11K miles and was selling for $42.5K and was offered to me at $40.5K. I decided to lease, so that car was off the table.

This was just one of plenty 08's for low 40's. But like I said, it was late in the Summer, so I am not sure how things have changed today.

The car is located in Pittsburgh PA.

I looked at dealers in the area and they were all slightly more expensive.

I ended up deciding to take the car and go it for $30500 out the door(including Allegheny Co 7% Tax, title & license and a trade on a '99 Passat w/ 107K miles). As usual you always feel like you could have gotten more but hey...Delivery next week

The key is that they are offering financing on this car of 0.9% over 36months and they pick up the first 2 payments - it's like getting free interest.

As far as the xi is concerned we have a long shaded(by hill) driveway that gets icy on fairly frequent basis in winter - hence the compromise

The 38-42k range he posted is based on national auctions. If they're advertising that car for 45k then they have +/- 5k of profit factored into that price.
YES IM SRY GUYS I WAS TALKING AUCTION NUMBERS.. NOT CPO`ED.. but retail wise.. a 08 550i with sport nav logic 7 you can get for around the 44 to 48 g, range...

Which dealership? Always good to have another Pittsburgher on the board. Now Rudy and I have someone else to talk to.

BTW, all those posts where I said I found 550i's for low 40's...I think it was low $50K's now that I recall, with the ability to buy at $49K....back in September. My bad.

I checked online at the dealerships around here....found yours at Rahal. It's pretty well optioned, and I am glad to see it has the Sport Package, Premium, NAV, PDC and Logic7. The ad states it's Silver gray, but then goes on to say it's Titanium silver....which is it?

Watch those Dunlop runflats in the snow. They are performance Summer tires, so even with the xi you will be slipping and sliding in the white stuff...not really suitable for Winter. You better think about some Dunlop 3D Winter Sports.

For you other folks who care, this is what he has to choose from, used, from 2005 to 2008 in the Pittsburgh area.

Here's my choice from the list, staying around the same price and mileage: 2005 545i, $32.9K, 26K miles. You could get it for $28K. But since there's no sport package, you have to drop it, order shadowline trim, throw on some 172's or 167's, the m-tech kit and you are ready to rock and roll!
