My Ride: 2005, E61 525i Touring, Black Sapphire Metallic, Dakota Leather, Steptronic Automatic, Pneumatic Self Leveling Rear Suspension, Panorama Glass Roof, PDC (Parking Distance Control front & Back), Navigation, HDTV, Bluetooth Voice Control, RunFlats, Electronically Retractable Side Mirrors, Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Autodim Rearview
I bought a 525 Wagon, but I think it is too slow, looking to change cars in about 2 years max. 530 wagon not available in Taiwan, nor the 535d, only the 525 and the 545. The 545 would have been over my budget at US$117,000 here, versus US$84,000 for the 525.
Also considered
BMW 5-series Sedan (530 sedan) (Not enough space)
Mercedes E-Class Wagon (E-Class due for a refresh before the 5-Series, plus drive not as fun)
BMW 7-Series: (Boring drive)
Audi A4 wagon (Too small)

Was not in market for car. Intended to drive GM product into ground, while letting wife have nice A4 Cabrio. THEN, I saw the first R&T face off of the 6er against ?? who cares . It was love at first sight. Next day drove to local dealer. He said what?, who? a 6er, yea we used to make those. From then on it was an obsession. Dealer later called me and put me on his list at #3. Suggested I come down and test drive 5er. I tested a 530i with HUD and AS. Knew I had to have HUD, but 6er HUD was delayed. About 4 months later got to a larger dealer to finally see one and test drive No change in obsession, in fact it became greater. Then my slot came up and was told to order. No HUD, I deferred, and deferred, and deferred, and deferred, until 8 months later and HUD became available, then I ordered. In those 8 months of waiting (not patiently I can tell u) I joined E60.net, RF (uck) and I changed colors 6 times, Saf Black, Jet Black, Ti Silver, Silver Gray, Stratus Gray and finally Silver Gray. Never been happier - my obsession paid off in one great car. And e60.net is second only to the car

On Order 530D M Sport Auto Silver Grey

running acompany car in the uk it just had to be a diesel with euro4 rating unless I wanted my wages to paid directly into the Inland Revenue.
An Audi A6
I picked up a brochure and decided I hadn't got the necessary skill or patience to decode the options list
Mercedes E-Class
I thought about it very briefly before i managed to slap my self
in the end even though I was really pi%%ed of with my 1st E60 and with the dealer and BMW Uk customer services and had thrown my toys out of the pram I just had to admit there is nothing that comes close to an E60
I am happy that we now have the BMW. It has more toys, the better sound system and better seats...
Actually, I would have bought the Maserati, but I just threw it in our discussion, because I wanted to push her into the E60...

My Ride: 2005 BMW 525i
Yup is absolutely crazy the price of the E90 here in HK compare with an E60. Even more noticable in the used car market.
[/quot
HK is a strange market, prices are all depends on demand, not quality. The more obvious example is price of Lexus compared to MB, price gap is huge. An E500 is more expensive than LS 430. C350 is double of IS300. With the price we paid for our 5 I think we are all winners quality-wise .
There is a member saying 330i is made in Germany, but I heard from my sales it's made in S.A.?? Who's correct?

I always liked the 3 series, my first bimmer is a E46 318iA (facelifted model) and I loved it, its a bit underpower, good enough for city driving within Hong Kong,? handling is great, a fun car to drive
When the E90 330i came out here in Q1/05, I love it, I was waiting for E90 325i to arrive... interestingly when I was about to make a decision, BMMHK was having a promotion on all E60s, I put down my deposit immediately after knowing the E60 523i was HK$20000 or US$2800 more then the E90 325i? I'm now a E60 owner?
