Reset your tramission learning feature. Loads of info and instructions on the forums about the transmission "slam". I had the same problem...after the reset (very simple) shifts like butter in every facet of driving!

Speaking of transmission slam... my car was slamming hard, I mean it felt like the tranny was going to fall off when I was driving about 55kmph, it was in automatic, so I switched to manual 5, the slamming or sputtering continued but something happened that never occurred before, it got less, and less until everything was smooth.

Weird.

I took my car to the bmw dealer for a transmission flush but they said its not not recommended for cars under 70k the guy told me some people that do that start having transmission problems!... He actually said if it aint broke dont fix it! but how do I reset the gearbox?
