On a race track, they recorded a time of 5.81s from 0-60mph in a stock e60 535d. Quite impressive, and
much better than the BMW time... nevertheless the 545i is still quicker. I can only imagine what the dms 535d
would record on the acceleration run

they were comparing pulling power (dont ask me , read the new evo), and they tested
it against the cayenne turbo (5.32s 0-60mph) , G55 amg (5.12s 0-60mph) and some other cars...
The 535d did much better than expected, but they said that the two supercharged/bi-turboed suvs
were faster (and no surpise they have twice the horsepower)

In addition they have re-tested the m5 around bedford circuit and it recorded a 1.5s quicker
time than it did last time, comfortably beating the sl600 and slk55 amg, and posting an identical
time to the maserati quattroporte.
