Dude, it's gonna be fine. You're not the first person this has happened to, nor the last. You're just mad right now and venting and that's fine. Just don't break anything you'll regret tomorrow. Take it to a body shop and get a quote to have it resprayed. That alone will make you feel better. It sucks, but it's no reason to desert your pride and joy. She needs you now more than ever.
i actually used to have a really bad temper. when i got out and saw it i actually went to punch the wall in my garage. but i stopped. i am calm now. i am gonna snap some pics. i thew some polish over it and it hid the scratch a bit, at least until i can get it fixed.

If you take it to a good shop, you will never even be able to tell any body work was done. Keep it in perspective man, it will all work out. Take it somewhere good. Don't look for the cheapest fix.

2 days after I bought a 330i, a moving truck destoyed my quarter panel and rear rim. When I got it back, it was perfection. Go with someone reputable.

The same thing happened to me two weeks ago. I had the BMW Body shop do it for $313.60. It was a 14 inch scratch on the drivers side rear door. Only thing is it is Black Shappire and it to me appears that is should be buffed out, but my friend says that I need to wait a month for the Clear coat to set up. When I got this Fiver the Coating was a gloss /glass /mirror finish, so I expect I will have to have a pro finish her up so she will be as good as new! Dan

i have spent so much time polishing this thing making sure there are no "wheel marks" i put a lot of time into the paint, so it is just gut wrenching. but worst of all, it could have been avoided. i was bored, so i was going to wal mart cause it is the only thing open, but when i got there i decided i really didnt feel like seeing the weirdos that go to wal mart on a friday night, so i left and drove home (its only about half a mile). i was backing into the garage and i had my music on when it happened. i didnt notice untill i realized how close my pass side mirror was to the garage. i am fully to blame, but this is the time i am going to bitch about something that i havent found the proper thread to.... i hate how the pass side mirror doesnt re adjust to the right position after putting the car in reverse. it is always too far out.

Hey Craig, on the bright side, those 124's are bangin' man! You got this. Stop at a dealer-recommended shop tomorrow, and by July she will be back in action. Did you just wash the car today? Those wheels look slicked up and ready to go.
