There are times when i'll put a CD in the in dash CD player and the radio won't read it. However, 30 minutes later or so(or basically whenever it wants) it will start playing again. Then, if the CD player is playing, sometimes out of nowhere you will hear a lot of static and to get rid of it you have to hit the side of the radio. Very annoying problem. Has this happened to anyone else? You guys think its a loose wire or I have to change out the CD player for a new one?

Sorry ENVY, I couldn't resist! Sounds like your CD player has a laser that may need some cleaning or that the laser is not tracking properly. You may have a loose connection or you may have a CCC that is failing. Tough to say...

Perhaps your model and MY year will help to determine the age and related issues...
