the way E60 was meant to be
ill try to see which part number are the connectors, i know i couldn't find them anywhere locally (mom pop electronic stores and big name ones), i had to get my neighbor to order them for me since he deals with electronic stuff for his business.
far as results, i did notice a difference, as you can tell from the video. i mean its worth a shot to try it out before you spend the money on the bezel and new button to see if it works for your car. i haven't had a chance to test on any other models.
im glad you guys enjoyed the video, i used a gopro hero3 strapped to my head to film, and it came out well i think. ill try to film as much DIY as i can, i plan to make a Orion install + black out + whatever else people do to these headlights, also a LCI tail retrofit. (im just trying to find a junked headlight to test on, so any donations for a broken gutted headlight appreciated!!)

Will do...But Damn! I noticed I need the connector for the sport button. The realoem image of the connector does not match the picture ecstuning provides.
Anyway here's a picture of the back of the sport button.

I'll use a multimeter to see which one temporarily shorts for 8 and 10 pin and which one for the LED.
I watched the video of your test. I see you have a "sport" option. Road test didn't prove anything though. I don't see why people don't just push the shifter into DS mode as it does exactly the same thing.

ill have a new video up, i actually went head to head with a 2009 m5 at the track, and i beat him, scratch that..i embarrassed him!...and i had my car full of friends! my neighbor is a astronaut for NASA and he said the thrust my car gives in sport mode is comparable to when he launches into space.
hahahaha. I don't think anyone did a DIY on it so respect for that. I never took the hazard button switch out to disconnect the wires anytime I took the trim piece off and didn't even think of it. Somehow always got the plug in/out with a little care and time.
