Ummm no this is for LCI Sport-AT (SAT).

... logically speaking ... does that long piece even resemble the oval shaped sport button on the shifter plate pic you found?

Have you read thru the thread from the beginning? The Sport button p/n = 61316922799 (no #8) already mentioned in post #17 up above ... There are only 3 wires for this mod not as many as 8 wires ...

If you read thru the thread some member(s) w/ manual did it and at least get the better throttle & the heavier steering to work ... of course obviously the shift point is ... manual.

Tray 18 (on the OEM diagram) looks like it has a button, but I'm not sure how it would work with the 12v socket.

That part will replace the ashtray w/ just an opening to put stuff in and no 12v lighter socket (some car also has non smoker option).

Yeah sorry, I have the mod installed. I meant no good option specifically for that bracket around the shifter with the button. Seems like everyone who's bought an OEM button has had an auto. My Radio Shack button just looks a little bush league.

Yeah ... I know ... can't believe the OEM plate & button cost that much ...

Yeah, that's what I feared. Not worth it because I'd lose my cell phone charger as my radar detector is plugged in under the passenger footwell.

It comes with the button??? Sweet! What's the par number and number for the wiring? Your car is pre-LCI right?
