Default Water in steering column

Guys looking for some help with a water issue. My car was accidentally hit with water at the steering column 6 days ago. Since then the wipers have been in emergency mode, no buttons on steering wheel work, no indicators, no cruise control and I drive did fail but is now back working. Indicators and full beam have now just started to function although this is only when lights on and happens without touching anything. Can someone please advise me what could be done to solve this issue. It also says on Idrive that the ignition is faulty and could be started by depressing the foot brake, also DTC does not work either.

I would try chasing the water out with a little wd 40.. Or some kind of electricl contact cleaner. u might have to take all the plastic covers off every thing and see if u can see all the electrical contacts. and clean them out..

Get a long screw driver not too thick, there is a hole under the steering wheel pop the crew driver in there and the air bag should just pop out. If you don't understand then do a search on you tube to see how to take off the airbag.

However, your problem may be the steering column switch that is the control for the electronics in that area.
