My Ride: Expected delivery on 15 Jan 2007 525I Olivian Green, Beige Interior, PP, CWP, PDC, SP, Rear shades, heated rear seats, Ipod fitted, Nav, Oem Rims 166, Xenon Lights, Wood grain package, illuminated door sills
I picked up my car yesterday and told the dealer that I had some new fog lights (Hoen Xenon Match) and wanted to put them on. She in turn said what kind and we dont want to void the warranty. So my question is does anyone know about the warranty being voided if you put aftermarket fogs on? Because I dont need to mess this up and I just got the car 19th Jan 07. Thanks for your help.

Now...where are your pix???
I change my fogs light and the main light too and it was alright
so I say put them in, but keep the old 1 for spare and for the warranty
if you have any thing wronge with the lights in the future then change the old 1 back in before you take it to the delar to get it checked

it depends on how and what you do. if you go to high power lamps that exceed the amp rating of the wiring [and insert a larger fuse] , this could melt the wire and void the warranty. keeping the same fuse in place should cause no problems.

Well, it is correct that the warranty is voided, but that's only for the fog lights, not for the entire car.
If the new lights cause trouble, this is not covered under warranty.
But, if you experience problems that have nothing to do with the foglights you warranty for that is not voided.
Now the question is, how much trouble can the switch of foglight bulbs cause?
I'd do it.
