hi you mentioned adjusting the sensitivity of the auto-headlights, how do you do that?

For the automatic headlights there are three settings (three stages of sensivity). Only the dealer can enter and switch these settings.

Again:
All settings, your dealer can do for you, will be lost when upgrading the software. Have your dealer reprograme those settings before you pick up your car. Remind him when you drop off the car, since they probably don't remember what adjustments they did for you, and check if they are done when picking up the car.

Only your dealer can tell you.

But once you take delivery of the car you will know what software version it'll have through this forum. New cars are allways having the newest software of course.
Currently software version 14 is at the dealers to fix bugs in previous versions. New E60's have version 14 if they were built in the last 3 weeks.
E60's that are built from this week have version 15. Dealerships will have version 15, I think, next week in Europe, and probably in two weeks in the USA.

I'll bet you there is something they can press on the I-Drive control to display the current version... I'll investigate and share any info i discover....
Thanks for you input.

There is that little trick to get into the hidden menu. But nobody couldn't find the software version in there yet...

I took mine in this morning to fix (for the second time) the restraint system fault. They have 14 and indicated they would do an upgrade since I had it in. I'll let you know of any quirks or bugs I find (provided they do the upgrade).

My car has gone in today to have the software upgrade. I've just spoken to the service advisor who has confirmed they are installing V14.2. He says the only bug he is aware of is that you cannot have the rhombus or star buttons control more than 1 function in V14.2. I wasn't aware that the earlier versions allowed you to programme 2 features on one button anyway so that is no great loss to me. They are going to activate TMC as well as the folding mirrors facility on locking the car.

Fingers crossed there are no bugs.

The dealer told me that UK dealers will receive V15 in the last week of December.

Ver 15 would be neat for my new computer fix, but I don't think I can do without audio, radio, NAV, etc. until the end of December.

Service tech just rang to tell me that they have installed V13.4 NOT V14.2. He thought he better keep me straight "as I seem to know a lot about the software". That's the power of the E60 Forum at work!

TMC is activated as are the folding mirrors. They tried to tell me I should have been charged for activating this feature but they aren't going to. They'd have required new ears if they had!

Charge!? It should be on by default IMHO if you've purchased the folding mirrors... There's no downside in it?

My dealer never mentioned charging when I had mine enabled
