I mute, put the car in the garage and then unmute when I'm driving up the road... Gotta think of those neighbours at 6AM

I am in the USA. Dont know if they have version 14 here. I need to take my car
to the dealer on Tuesday for:
1) oil service (my car has about 10K already)
2) update the idrive software because i have the faulty seat belt bug
3) I need take it for the REcall with the emission system
4) Need to repalce the driver side cup holder.

Only your dealer can tell you.
But once you take delivery of the car you will know what software version it'll have through this forum. New cars are allways having the newest software of course.
Currently software version 14 is at the dealers to fix bugs in previous versions. New E60's have version 14 if they were built in the last 3 weeks.
E60's that are built from this week have version 15. Dealerships will have version 15, I think, next week in Europe, and probably in two weeks in the USA.

hi you mentioned adjusting the sensitivity of the auto-headlights, how do you do that?

When you are getting software updates, a lot of settings are deleted, such as the address book from your nav.
If you have the automatic headlights adjusted (sensivity) or if you have the auto fold mirrors activated (to fold when the remote lock button is pressed and held down)... those are lost as well... Your dealer needs to re-initialize those functions. It doesn't take long and is no big deal, but you better tell your dealer and check those functions before driving off.
