A lot of people say it doesn't work well, but I find that it works awesome for me. I have had software versions 13.2 and now 16.2. As long as you have the windows closed, voice works great. You just need to speak clearly and try to mimic the voice on the other end. I use it all the time to "map direction of travel" on the Nav. And to get random things like "stop watch" which is buried in menus. And to change radio stations and CD tracks.
I am perplexed why some of you can't get it to work well. It works like 90+% of the time for me (again with windows closed).
Call "speed limit"? Joke or will it actually do something?
You can set a speed to set off a chime when hit.

I use it to bypass the iDrive menu whenever possible...
FM
Call home
CD1, track 2
Examples of the most common commands I use.? I use them pretty much on every drive.

I tried the map direction of travel command yesterday. It would always give me map facing north...
I even tried a German accent in my English

[/quote]Also try not to say it too slowly. It just picks up the MAP and goes from there.
Without German accent I say MAP direction of Travel and it always responds. Before I found this board and the Voice command list on our ED trip I kept saying MAP facing direction of travel. It would always point north.
