Hello and I have a question regarding voice command for navi.
I would like to know if there's a command to start a giudance
From the address book. I can say the address and everything
but it seems there's no command to star the guidance from the
address book. What I mean is like "guidance home/work etc"
Instead of stop at address book and manually scroll down.

Also is it possible to enter POI via voice?
Like ask for airport, gas station etc?
For me it stops at information section and
I had to manually input to idrive.

PS I did search as well as looked informationsection
for voice command

I think you can name your destinations in your address book, and then use the name as a marker for Voice.
I'm not exactly sure, cause I've used my nav like 3 times...

Use "Destination from Address Book"
That's what I've been using. It stops at the Address Book and I will need to manually find the saved address
instead of telling the IDrive to select the address for me.
And I did look at that pdf and it didn't mention this.

Any more inputs?

I believe its not possible in our 5 series (at least up to 2007 Models). I test drove 2008 MDX last year and it had the feature. MDX also had simple reciprocating command like 'What time it is?' and it responds back with time. I wish we had these features in our E60. Most of our voice commands are like choosing menu rather than actual inputs.

Correct, I don't think it's possible to drill into the menu by voice. It's like the "Information at destination" prompt ... then you have to manually select from the menu that is provided.

I don't know if the new iDrive system is "smarter"?
