My wife and I are truly saddened by Jim's pass.

I have known him along with several others from almost the beginning of this forum and had the honor to meet him and his wife Barbara in Dallas in Sep 2004, just before I took delivery of my 545i.

First contact with Jim was HERE and HERE

Jim never allowed anyone to drive his car, but gave me the privilege to drive his 545i without a second thought because I was curious to try the SMG.

We had a fun time out in Dallas visiting a barbecue joint right next to a BMW dealer..hehe...Jim thought of everything.
Here's a pic of Jim, Barbara and my wife when we arrived there :

Jim's 545i in front of the hotel - after the girls went to sleep, Jim and I talked for hours about the E60 and life in general...great guy !

...and the thread all about it HERE (it's really entertaining !)

Jim was the guy to get me started with REJEXing my car as he was an avid user himself. He gave me his own Rejex bottle out of the car before we said goodbye in Dallas, I still have that bottle with me today sitting in my garage > I stopped using it some time ago to keep it as a kind of personal memory from Jim > thanks buddy !

There is not much else I can say as my regards for this guy goes beyond words - except that when you have an oppurtunity to go to a meet or meet someone from the forum - just do it : I have some of my best friends today from this very forum..

we'll miss you Jim !
Sorry to hear the news...thanks Rudy...special thanks to Andy545 for the sincere story. Godspeed to JDN

hi folks, loooooong time no post. first of all, i want to thank iceman to pm me about this sad news. i'm sitting here reading all the posts and couldn't hold my tears when i was reading andy's post and pics . i don't know what i'm doing now cuz both my mind and soul are gone. as some of the members said, jdn got me started with rejex. even though i only used it once, i still love it. not because i don't want to use it, just because i'm too lazy to wash my car .

i know some of the newer members might not have a chance to communicate with him. i highly recommend you to read some of his posts. your few minutes spent will be well worth it.

lomag or das, i'm wondering if you can give access of his account to his family. at least they can read through this thread. i'm sure all of us will really appreciate your help.

jdn, you'll be missed! my condolences and best wishes to his family.

man, my heart is hurting me like hell now and still couldn't believe it is true .

Welcome back... I see you havent changed... still too lazy to wash your car. JDN wont like that... go wash it now.

you think i'll have time to wash my car if i don't have time to post . i was suppose to wash it (not me, of couse ) over the weekend but it was raining here . i want to wash it this weekend (again, not me ) but i'll be out of the country for three weeks. no sense for me to have it washed but it'll be all dusty when i get back . i'll definitely take it to a car wash when i get back .

Not only would JDN want you to wash it, he'd want you to Rejex it as well -- even the wheels!

I know of JDN only through his postings which were great and well responded. It's sad to lost such a good forum member. RIP and may his family be comforted that he is in good hands.
