Reading this post refreshes my appreciation of my USB memory stick loaded with hundreds of 320 bit rate mp3s.

A lot of us that don't have the USB option available and don't want to waste 300+ on a Dension or something like it.

burning speed will not make a difference in sound quality. it can improve disc reading (no skipping songs, no errors etc) but not the mp3's itself.
you probably downloaded a higher quality songs this time (320 bitrate) and it sounds better then u used too

I use CDs because I don't have a USB option yet

Although when you burn a CD it is just 1s and 0s the CD player does some error correction to compensate for errors on the disk. Although theoretically if you burn at 1x or 24x you could get a perfect copy a lot depends on the drive and the disk you are using. recording at 24x will likely introduce more errors and the CD player can only compensate so much, almost every time it corrects an error it degrades the audio quality.

as vlad_b said burning MP3s at a slower speed will not improve the MP3 quality but you don't want to introduce more errors when recording that MP3 to CD

+1. I burned a CD last night like Jr. (Krozi) recommended at the lowest speed 1X, and there is no change in the sound quality

You'll probably need to play it at a high end sound system.
Or maybe adjust the equalizer system.

I don't know why other people are not noticing the difference. Maybe you were already burning at a lower speed or something?

I burned a CD with songs that I had burned before so I never bought new songs. The songs where the same, the quality very different!

By the way I am not burning MP3's. I am burning regular audio discs.....

maybe since you're still growing, your hearing is also developing and that's why you can notice the difference vs. some of us that are fully developed can't notice it !!
