As a corollary to all this, at the time of stalling, a new model of Fiat from the manufacturer passed me doing high-altitude stress testing of a new Fiat 500 4-door stretched sedan coming out soon. Also, on the way back I passed a disguised next-model Honda Civic (I think) bearing manufacturer plates and wearing car-disquise vinyl clothing. Last week I saw two 2014 Corvettes doing high-altitude testing as well. Lots of summer "hot and high" car testing done around Mt. Evans near Denver. Wish BMW was spotted up here...
