Guys im fine ! God forbid i hold down the question mark down by accident to long !lol! The reason i asked that question is i got CEL with emissions exceeded with codes P 2187 and P 2189. these are the ccv valves on the intake manifold on each cylinder bank, on the V8 4.4 & 4.8. Its a DIY job. TAKES 1/2 HOUR . Very common problem on all engines I6-V8 @ 80K-120K.

I got a CEL with an "Increased Emissions" message and originally the code thrown was for an Air Flow Meter. Then my engine reduced power and went into "Limp Home mode"... if you havent been in that it SUCKS!! I have a 545i and couldnt go over 20 mph!! It ended up being 2 flooded MPM's. Once replaced the software was updated and the car has been great. I am learning that many DIY projects for other makes and models are dealer issues for BMW because everything requires an computer update!
