Thanks for all the feedback guys. Been in London for a few days already and finally had some time to post. I'll be in Germany on the 1st of April and I'm probably just going to visit the BMW museum in Munich. I'll check back later, it's time to drink

Lol man... I would love to entertain that offer!

Defenitly you need to go to the northsleife/nurburgring....its a 5 hours drive. 4 if you put the pedal to the metal
Hehe i know its a bit of a long yourney but hey...
You can look on the website if they are open for touristen-fahrten. On the day you would like to visit. For a bmw enthousiast its a great thing to do.
I bet you have a great time. Enjoy the muncheners beers and the food

The weather may be a bit sour this time of year, unless you are in to skiing or snowboarding. I think the best thing for you to do with such short time (besides the Welt) would be to see the Alps.

You are actually about an hour from Garmish, Lindau (where Lake Constance is), or Salzburg (Austria)depending on which direction you go. If you decide to visit Garmisch, you won't be far from Castle Neuschwanstein (the prettiest and most famous of King Ludwig's 3 castles). Another castle is actually in Munich. If you head toward Salzburg you can visit the Eagles Nest (Hitler's Alpine Fortress)- however it may be closed due to the winter season. As for inside the city, if you visit the shopping district, you can eat/drink at the Hoffbrau house (where Hitler was almost assinated). There used to be a Hard Rock Cafe directly accross the street - not sure if it's still there. A few klik's away is the Lowenbrau Bier Garten.

If you are a WWII history buff, there is ALOT of sites and information there - including a BMW history museum (their famous I6 engines got their start in the Luftwaffe airplanes). Munich is also referred to as "The Cradle of Nazism".

Whether you are interested in that kind of stuff or not, its a beautiful city. Enjoy your trip

If it rains go to the Deutsche Museum. Munich itself is very pretty. You can go look at some of the parks there too.

And if the weather is nice you can go to the Englisch Garten and hang out with all the naked people. I am sure after a few of those Weiss Biers or a couple Masks you would be up to it...!

Spot on! There is a monastery down the road from the Linderhoff (another of Ludwigs homes) that makes the most excellent beer also.
