The most useless option by far IMHO is the daft sliding armrest that costs about ?110 on its own or is included with BT. I love the naff way the handbrake when applied almost closes it. Personally I would rather have extra strorage space.

Is the 2005 model different, in that you can completely turn off PDC in idrive? In my 2004, I can turn off the visual car image in idrive, but the BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP still sounds unless you hit the PDC button.

I know that I can turn off the display in IDrive I will check to totally disable it, if I hit the PDC button under my nav to turn it off it stays off untill I turn it back on. Ill Check on Disabling it through IDrive

iDrive only turns off the display. The PDC button turns it completely off until you start the car again.

Strange that 26% doesn't think tha cruise control is usable. I use it all the time..

Maybe it's just to be cool...

Cool

heated steering wheel is probably the most-useless option on there.

not available any more -- but "Cassette Tape Player"

It comes back on if you put the car into reverse though...doesn't it?

Hi Gloss Shadow Line is the most useless because it serves no practical function.

I agree with Iceman (!!! ;-) ) - TV - I use it so rarely. Not never, but once every couple of months... and then just to find out if I have a decent signal!

Hmmm...good question! I've pressed the button while in reverse and it turned PDC completely off, but can't remember if I put the car in reverse again before turning it off.

Rudy:
You bet, comes back on every time you go in reverse. PDC still at the top of my list of useless options.
