Useless options
Actually, most times I do know how to get where I'm going!!
? And for those times when I don't, I typicaly use yahoo maps so I know how to get there and about how long it will take, before I get in the car.

but lets face it, here in New Jersey/New York we live a fast life so need to save on time (atleast I do). For me the Nav is the more useful feature in the car. The most useless feature is the side sunshades. Never had to use them since I already have tints on the car. The rear sunshade is cool though and specially how you press a button to make it go up and down (its a cool show off feature

The option that is not useless but nonetheless got my ire was the $75 Sirius prep
Hated nickel-and-diming on BMW's part. Does this count?

PDC, totally annoying waste for me. It was a $700 option on my Sept 2003 built 545i. I wanted all the other options and for $700 I wasn't going to wait. For $700 you should be able to deactivate through idrive.

Rear heated seats were on my car, and they are the most useless option for me. I very rarely have anyone in the back seat.
I love the NAV, PDC, Sirius, Xenons, CWP, and especially the power rear sunshade!

Mine is the Touring.
Never use the available space. Bought it merely for the looks of it.
Besides I have beige interior and that's totally unpractical when you're using the trunk (gets dirty by even looking at it)

Today I had to borrow my wife's 325ix touring to bring a big box home from work. It's too big to even fit through the pass-through of my folded seats.
But driving her car does remind me why I love mine so much!
Sinister:
Is the 2005 model different, in that you can completely turn off PDC in idrive? In my 2004, I can turn off the visual car image in idrive, but the BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP still sounds unless you hit the PDC button.
