My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i, Silver Grey, Sport Package, R. Shades, Cold Pkg, Sat. Rad., Prem. Sound.
Just answer the question and don't complain about how a certain answer is not available.
My car is paid off and thinking about dowsizing to a 335i sedan because I rarely use the backseat much less the trunk in the e60.
Against me:
1. I have an SUV to haul the kid and wife. 2. The only thing I'm hauling around is my mini PDA/organizer.
3. If I was single and in my twenties, the backseat could justify the room in the back, but I'm not.
4. No pets either.
5. The 335 will probably be more "zippy."
6. I'll lose quite a bit on the depreciation too.
For Me:
1. I do like the e60 styling over the 335i.
2. The e60 is probably a bit smoother for longer driving.
3. What else?

I have a 545 Sport also and can't think of a reason why you would switch to a 335 except for better handling, especially given you will lose on depreciation.
I agree with vern, the 335 interior is small and uninspiring.
Be strong and fight the urge!

If you are realy intrested in the 335 I would take a second look at the inside. I did and IMO it can't compare to the 5 series. Good luck

I think the new 335i coupe is a spectacular looking car (the best in the BMW stable right now), and by all accounts its performance is extraordinary. If I were looking to get a new vehicle today I would have a tough choice to make between the 335i coupe and the 550i.
I think it boils down to your driving preferences. Which comes first for you, Sport or Luxury?
The 335i coupe, hands down, will trump the 545i in the fun-to-drive factor: handling, cornering, responsiveness, and even acceleration. The 335 will be a blast to toss around.
The 545 / 550, on the other hand, is nearly the peer to the 335 in those fun-to-drive factors - but not quite - yet has much more luxury, especially the luxury of the 8 cylinder engine. The power and grace of the 5er is worth more to me than the sportiness of the coupe. And I would have a hard time giving up things such as HUD and comfort seats.
Good luck, it's a fun choice to consider.

I saw the 3er coupe at a dealership the other week. It was black with 19" rims and simply looked
As for the sedan, which you (Bimmer32) were referring to in your original post, I still cannot come to terms with that rear-end styling. The got it right on the coupe though!
However as tachyon wrote in the post above, it comes down to what your current driving preference is; sport or luxury?
Sounds like a few test drives are in order... enjoy!
cheers
