I have never used AM. I don't see why. If I need to hear the news, theare quite a few FM bands that transmit it. So what is the big thing about using AM? in the other hand my dad likes it

I've been pondering the exact same question and reached the same conclusion. If money becomes an issue I'll drop the nav - after all, I will benefit from the logic 7 every time I use the car.

go with the logic 7, it's covered under the BMW warranty and it's great sounding.
