My Ride: (USA) 645Ci, Silver Gray, Chateau, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, Sport PKG, Step, NAV [Std Equip in 645], HUD, Satellite (SIRIUS) Radio, Aux Input, Bluetooth enabled using iPhone 3GS w/ adapter cradle - Build date - 01/05, Baby delivered 2/24/05
SIB posted today (full SIB in attachment) - just enough posted here to see what the fixes are (for search purposes). I also updated the PROGMAN list which includes 27.01.00 referred to in other SIBs so I know its out there but probably does not contain fixes for our cars. That is over in the stickey with SIB list in Dealer forum. You will also notice within the SIB that there is no reference to PROGMAN 26.xx.xx. This confirms my claim that even though dealers may have had such a CIP ( and would tell customers that is what they got) it did not contain any fixes for the cars, only bug fixes in how the the upgrade process is handled on the dealers hardware.
SI B 61 14 03
General Electrical Systems September 2007
Technical Service
This Service Information bulletin supersedes S.I. B61 14 03 dated April 2007.
(NEW) designates changes to this revision
SUBJECT
Software Errors Corrected with Progman
MODEL
E60, E61 (5 Series)
E63, E64 (6 Series)
Vehicles produced up to 30 March 2007
SITUATION
Customer may complain of the following:
(NEW) The following software errors were corrected with the release of Progman 27.00.00 (Target data Status E060-07-09-515).
An erroneous check control message stating the "SOS inactive" is displayed. Refer to SI B84 16 07 for more information.
Vehicles equipped with iPOD using the USB interface (SA 6FL), switches from iPOD mode to FM mode.
CCC: Radio does not resume with previously listened to station. Refer to SI B65 28 07 for more information.
Intermittently there is no sound from the radio in FM mode only. Vehicles equipped with CHAMP only. Normal operation is restored after sleep mode or radio switched to AM.
When the vehicle is started the audio treble switches to the default value. However the display continues to show the correct value set. Vehicles equipped with CHAMP only.
If the vehicle is switched off with the TLC (Lane Departure warning SA 5AD) active, the TLC will be re-activated immediately the next time the ignition is switched on (Terminal 15). The 'Activation Threshold" display flashes briefly in the instrument cluster display.
E64 only: The driver's seat sporadically adjusts in the longitudinal directions on its own.
The following software errors were corrected with the release of Progman 25.01.00 (Target data Status E060-07-03-520). Only software corrections for the last 2 Progman versions are listed below.

Cobradav -- many thanks for keeping us updated on SIB/Progman updates.
Regarding this release (v27) - I see no mention of any fixes to address the IDrive Crash issues many owners have complained about following a v25 upgrade.
Is there anyone who upgraded to v27 to successfully fix this problem?

Previously 2003 Z4 3.0
I have 27.00 on my 530d. I appear to have lost Digital TV reception, although that may have been caused by a dealer error in re-assembly of the dash after fitting the Xenon Supplementary lights. The TV Tuner only shows analog TV , and reception is terrible, I think that this is an aerial fault not software.
When fitment of the xenon's is complete (missing relay) the dealer will be asked to check the TV.
Interesting making the transition to the new version, graphics, menus different, although I can't see any particular new functionality.

Yes what is CHAMP
and why is this the first time I'm hearing about iDrive crashes with 25?
My car is being upgraded right now - no wonder why the service manager tried everything in his power to get me not to upgrade....

Doug_999 -- see this thread: [topic="44636"]Idrive Issues[/topic]
Cobradav -- if it is an upgrade procedure issue, then we will only know if the issue is resolved when the affected owners confirm that v27 works fine.

I just got 27.1 and everything is the same, just as expected.
None of my problems were solved, but more important: I don't have any new problems, just the ones I allready had.
