I just got 27.1 and everything is the same, just as expected.

None of my problems were solved, but more important: I don't have any new problems, just the ones I allready had.

Iceman -- what problems were you trying to get fixed?

Some problems BMW told me they never heard about before...

I don't have idrive crashes, but MP3 aborts and misfunctions (what it previously didn't experienced, it all started after the upgrade to 25), and the main bug for me is, the traffic announcements... When there is one, the radio station gets faded, and the announcement fades in. This creates a space of one second, which is kind of annoying. When the announcement ends it fades out again and the station then fades in.
This is OK when you listen to CD's, but when listening to radio it's annoying. Switching TP off everytime I listen radio is too much work. Previously I had it on all the time (like now) and it worked fine. Also after the upgrade to 25 my idrive access and reaction times were much slower.
But as I said, no changes with 27.1, just as expected. My dealer and BMW were hoping that something went wrong with the last update and that this one will fix it. But since the problems are still there they now will have to look into it.

But that's OK, since they are still trying to find my steering noise. They've allready changed many parts and the noise is still there. Meanwhile I have vibrations... But I am confident, the next thing that willbe changed is the servo pump, and that the problem will be gone after... We'll see...

Since I have an MY08 LCI, I do not have to worry about raising my CIP level from 25 to 27, correct? Are there any benefits? or go with the motto...if ain't broken, it doesn't need fixing.....

Never update something thats not broken... especially the E60... I'm very serious... I'm running like I picked the car with like V13 or 14 and upgraded to V16 to get the tranny fixed and then BMW updated it to V21 to meet some emissions requirement and now have no intention in updating... its flawless right now. Yesterday I got mine upgraded in order to eliminate the sppining of the CD after switching off the engine.
The new version has changed all the colours and the appearance of the menus (not big deal).
Have any of you notice, that with the new version, the streets in the navigator seems to be larger?.
I mean, even at the closest zoom level, I can hardly see some of the streets. It seems as they
have shifted the last zoom position and what it used to be a zoom of 200meters, now is 100m, so
everything is tiny.
