Well, I purchased the vehicle stock, so my assumption is that said film is stock as well..

Lui,

I did raise some questions regarding filing formal complaints in the dealer & servicing subforum, but I'd still like to give my dealership the benefit of the doubt (for now.) For the greater good of man, I hope that this isn't true of every dealer lol I do have other options, but this dealership is the most convenient, and was specifically recommended to me (at this time, I'd have to decide if it was recommended due to business interest or because of their commitment to the brand and its success.)

..and trust me, I understand what you're saying about those "types" of clients. I own and operate a supply/distribution center, and there's often nothing worse than a client who walks-in, and immediately presents said attitude. In my defense, I spent upwards of $70,000.00 of my hard-earned capital on this car, and have a simple expectation for work to be completed, without long-winded excuses, and within a reasonable amount of time, under warranty. I've never presented myself in an unprofessional or threatening manner, because, like the kids say these days, karma's a bitch

Now look, I've hijacked my own thread.. lol..

I've never heard of laminated side glass, except on W140 Mercedes, but that is what it sounds like. Definitely not a DIY. You bought your car from these people, insist that they make it right.
